I come bearing gifts! One is a thought and one is a system.
First, the thought. And it’s a pretty simple one.
What’s a great way to get rich?
Multiple income streams.
And, of course, in trading “multiple income streams” means multiple systems–in multiple markets.
As you know, I’ve been studying Forex since 2008. That’s not going to change.
But Futures has been practically begging me to put more money into it. And while I am trading Futures and have seen excellent results, I don’t think I’ve given it enough respect.
Futures are an excellent way to add an income stream/diversified system.
So here’s my second gift: a simple Futures system.
The 5-Minute RSI E-Mini Nasdaq (NQ) Breakout
- Long Only Entry: When price closes into Overbought (length 14, overbought 75).
- Target: $1800 per contract
- Stop: $200 per contract
- Close: At the end of the day
This system is obviously trying to capitalize on the aggressive movement of the Nasdaq and will have big wins and a lower win percentage.
Here are some recent trades:
Here’s the Report since 2010 trading 1 contract each time:
And here’s the % Curve on a hypothetical $15k account via Portfolio Architect:
It does very well during bullishness, and would provide a nice income stream when the market was positive. Possible filters could be a bullish/bearish regime, bigger stop, and/or a smaller target.
But we’re going to keep it as-is for now because I have another present.
And we’ll talk about that in the next Newsletter.
