A Portfolio the Aussie Way

I wrote this before I landed back in the United States so I hope I’m safe and sound right now.

One of the biggest things I liked about the Trade View Conference was their cloud-based platform.

It was super advanced and super fun. It made me a bit jealous. There is something about having a good platform to do your testing and trading on.

But probably an even bigger takeaway is that their platform can combine different currency pairs and different strategies easily into a portfolio.

And guess what?

When you start creating a portfolio of strategies, the equity curve gets darn good.

So I thought I’d give an example of what combining strategies can do.

As a reminder, here’s the Curve for the BB 1-Hour strategy. We used brand-new settings on this one:

And here’s the 30-minute robot from our last Newsletter:

Both of those look nice and beat the market.

But what if we use my favorite MT4 tool, Portfolio Architect, and combine those two into one.

Here’s that would look like:

Now we’re hypothetically up near a 700% return.

And here are the Annual Returns since 2013:

Granted 2016 is a little bit kooky.

But overall, by combining just two strategies, we don’t have any losing years.
